It is important to nurture your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing every day. Focus on activities that enhance and improve these areas of your being. Exercise on a daily basis is essential to keeping your body functioning at optimal levels. It decreases blood pressure, strengthens the heart, moves blood throughout your body, preventing it from backing up and slowing down – becoming stagnant. Strive to exercise every day. You will see an improvement in how you feel emotionally and physically. Self-assessments are essential for your emotional wellbeing, because they enable you to see areas of your life that need improving or strengthening. It is important that you are brutally honest when you do a self-assessment, otherwise it really won’t benefit you as much as it could. List the things in your life and yourself that could use improvement. Then, write next to each item a way that you could improve it. Finally, set a goal. This exercise will also help you to be mindful and live in the moment. This is all we have right now. NOW. Meditation and/or prayer on a daily basis is crucial in nurturing your spiritual wellbeing. You are always connected to Divine Spirit, but meditation allows you to quiet your mind and receive messages and information directly from Spirit. It also gives your body a chance to slow down and rest. Nurture yourself. Love yourself. Love your body – the vehicle you came to this physical world in to play, interact, learn, grow and thrive.
Mind/Body/Spirit = UNITY
Your thoughts are your perspective on each and every situation and experience you have. You can choose to look at things from a positive perspective or a negative perspective. Retraining your brain is possible. It just takes practice, practice and more practice. Like the habits you developed over time – years – the practice of changing your thought process will take time – possibly years – likely a lifetime to perfect. You are a conscious, changing being and you evolve every second of every day. Conscious evolution is important for the highest self-improvement and awareness. Take time every day to assess your life and your inner self. Are you doing what is necessary for your highest good each and every day? Are you good to your vessel – your physical body? De-toxify. Release all that does not serve you for your highest good and replace with that which does. Change eating habits. Change exercise habits. Change thinking habits. Your vessel – your body is like a car that needs maintenance on a regular basis to keep it running and functioning at a highly efficient level. Be good to yourself and be good to the vessel you were carried to this physical world to ride in. Life is a journey. Take care of the carriage that moves you along the journey of life. Peace. Love. Amen.
Life is a river. It is eternal flow. It is always in motion. You can try to control it, but it is uncontrollable. This is when you get frustrated; lose hope. Give up control and go with the flow. View life as a river and you as the occupant of a canoe. There are times when the river is calm. These moments allow you to rest, gain strength, appreciate the wellbeing, focus on improving yourself and prepare for the future. Then come the rapids. These are the times when you need to hold on and go with the flow. Let the river take you. You will learn. You will grow. You will expand. You will desire more. You will find better use of your thoughts, because you will be forced to be strategic. Don’t fear the rapids; embrace them. View them as exciting, rather than frightening. Nobody knows what their future holds. Your life is like a ball of clay that you are constantly molding. Keep your thoughts positive. Keep your vibration high. Surround yourself with like-minded people that will spur conversations that help you to grow and evolve. Always consciously evolve. Pay attention to your life and the events and circumstances you encounter and always find ways to learn and grow. This is the river of life. Grab an oar and get paddling!
Spirituality is a way of life. It is a practice. It is daily connection to your higher spirit to receive messages that will guide your life. Spirituality is not a man made, organized religion. It is a Divinely guided way of living. There are many ways that you can get in tune with your higher self. Getting in tune on a daily basis will help you live a quality of life that exceeds one that is not in tune. First, there is gratitude. Gratitude is a practice of giving thanks for all that you have in your life. Being mindful in the present moment, give daily thanks for all that you have in your life. Next, there is meditation. Meditation is a channel used to quiet your mind so that you can reach your higher self and gain clarity, information and guidance. Daily meditation at the beginning of the day will set the tone for your day. As life’s stress shows up throughout your day, having meditated will better equip you to handle it on a calmer level. Finally, there is intuition. Intuition is your navigational system. It keeps you safe. It is that little voice inside of you that warns you and guides you. Always listen to your intuition, even when you don’t like what it is telling you. Spirituality is tuning into your higher self, which is your direct connection to Divine Spirit. It is all love and all pure. The world seen through the eyes of your higher self and Divine Spirit is nothing less than perfect. Look through those eyes. Divine Love.
Pay attention to how the moon cycles affect your emotions and your personality. The new moon is a time to write wish lists of what you want to bring into your life. You can also include what you want to release. Be specific. Focus only on that which you want to come to you, not that which you do not want. The Universe responds to your emotions, not your words. It hears what you feel, not what you say, so make sure that you don’t have conflicting emotions when you are creating your wish list. The new moon is a time for new beginnings. It is the beginning of a new cycle and you can use this time to detoxify your body and mind. Focus on healthy habits such as good nutrition, exercise, meditation (which you should be doing on a daily basis, regardless) and getting in tune with your body’s cues. Release old thought habits that have been toxic and re-train your brain to think more positively. Two weeks later, the full moon will arrive. The full moon is the time to release your wish list and release it to the Universe for receipt. A full moon ceremony is a perfect way to release your wishes to the Universe. The ceremony should be performed within 48 hours of the full moon rising. Take your wish list outside with you and stand barefoot on the ground under the light of the full moon. Say a prayer of gratitude to the full moon. Give thanks for all that you have in your life and all that you are asking for. If possible, burn your wish list and release it to the Universe. Since the full moon is about releasing, like the new moon, this is a good time to detoxify and purge your body of that which does not serve you for your highest good. During each phase of the moon, you should pay attention to your emotions and aim to keep your thoughts positive and push any negative thoughts away when they come. This is something that should be practiced daily and the more you practice the easier it will become.
Acceptance of circumstances and events in life are necessary for harmony and peace. Life is cyclical and there will always be times that you find aren’t ideal. The challenging times are merely opportunities for growth and learning. Removing resistance and going with the flow during these times is the easiest way to navigate through them. Tackling them head on with determination rather than avoiding them is ideal. Avoidance only creates more resistance and prolongs the uncertainty and uncomfortable feelings that accompany it. Focus on your breathing. Meditate. Focus on the challenging situation and look at it from different perspectives. This is the time that you should pull back and look from a broader perspective rather than a fine tuned perspective. Accept that the outcome of the situation may not be the one that you want, but look for the lesson within the outcome. This lesson can be used for self-improvement and to keep from repeating past mistakes. You can also learn from the outcome so that you can be better prepared to navigate the river of life the next time you come around the river bend uncertain of what you are going to find. Be hopeful. Be brave. Be strong. Learn. Grow. Improve. Accept.
When you offer resistance to a situation or something that you do not like, it blocks the energy flow and everything becomes stagnate – almost frozen. This keeps it in place and revolving around without moving and without movement it cannot be released, so it stays in place. It is important to allow for the energy to flow in every situation, most importantly ones that are unpleasant or unpleasing, because it is your innate desire to get through these moments as quickly as possible. Resistance is like quick sand and keeps you stuck in the situation. Breathe. Meditate. Focus on your breath during moments of fear and anxiety. Placing your focus on something other than the situation will allow you to calm down and become more rational about the brevity of it. Life is all about movement. We are always striving to move forward. Don’t allow situations to keep you stuck in motion and not moving forward. Growth and change are inevitable and the Universe will push you forward whether you like it or not. The question is…Do you want to go willingly or do you want to resist? Which one is the more pleasant experience? Look at what holds you back. Analyze and try to find out why you are resisting and then jump-start the action. Sometimes it is just as simple as taking the leap. The net will appear. I promise.
